Description

Gymnasium at the Bishop's College School Sports Centre

A whole-building energy efficiency project designed to cut energy use and GHG emissions while renewing aging assets and improving air quality and occupant comfort.

Several energy efficiency measures were implemented: converting the heating network from high to low temperature, replacing atmospheric boilers with condensing boilers, adding a thermal wheel to the fresh air unit, and swapping aging R22 ventilation units for new equipment with thermal wheels and modulating compressors.

Scope of work

  • Fresh air volume adjustments
  • Heating network converted from high to low temperature
  • Building control optimization and upgrades
  • Domestic hot water production optimization
  • Heating water production optimization
  • Exhaust air heat recovery
